Open source programming is the concept of releasing the code for software along with the launch of the software in order to encourage the consumers that use the program to help work on the betterment of the software without having to pay them as employees. This is the same mentality that organizations should adopt when trying to craft a message in today's web 2.o world. PR practitioners should start to view their projects and campaign as not being complete when they are first disseminated. The work isn't over, you should be conscious of how the public is reshaping your message and respond accordingly.
